MOVIE PREMIERE

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

7:00 P.M.

We will host a screening of the new movie The Book of Ruth. This movie is a dramatization of the biblical book. This will be the FIRST public showing of this movie. Four days after our screening, it is scheduled to be aired on cable network TBN. Ray Nikolaison, the producer of The Book of Ruth, will be present to discuss the making of this film.

LENTEN PILGRIMAGE

The Swissvale Clergy Association will again sponsor the Community Ecumenical

Lenten Pilgrimage. The Pilgrimage consists of five worship services shared among various churches in the borough. The Series will culminate on Good Friday (April 2, at noon) with a Via Dolorosa walk (details will be announced later). All services take place at 7:00 P.M. The first service is scheduled for February 24 at Swissvale Presbyterian Church. Our own Pastor, Dai Morgan, will deliver the message.

OUR NEW BEGINNING

We have moved our congregation to a new location. It was a former wine and spirits store--yes, we love the irony. It is clearly a non-traditional religious space. It is a little rough and needs work. But then, that is what makes it so good. We can mold the space to suit our mission. In fact, we are restarting our congregation. We are re-molding ourselves, as well. Our space is open and flexible. And so are we.

We might be just what you are looking for. We are a welcoming community. We invite the participation of ALL who seek to grow in, experience and explore the meaning of faith in Christ. We are at a stage of development where our exact future is yet to be determined. Would you like to help influence our path? Contact us or, better yet, come and visit.
