Meeting Schedule
First Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The Sweetser United Methodist Women met May 5th
for the annual May Tea. Guest speaker Ann Colland, museum manager of The Quilters
Hall of Fame, talked about the Marie Webster House, a national historic landmark in
Marion.
- Teresa Blevins gave devotions and Jennifer Becker was guest soloist.
Members of the planning committee were Delores Hale, Frances Tyner, Doris Cook,
Leona Ruch and Rosalie Williamson.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. June 6 in the
church.

Showers of Love
- The UMW are sponsoring gifts for the Pregnancy Crisis Center. All the church are
invited to bring items needed for the baby bed in the sanctuary. Needs include :
toilet tissue, paper towels, light bulbs (60 & 100 watt), kitchen items - new and
used, baby diapers - large size, pull-ups, and any other baby items - small and large,
maternity clothes, surgical gloves, general office supplies and postage stamps.
