Sunrise Picnic area is the perfect place for
outdoor fun, food and fellowship.
The
covered tables, an Eagle Scout project by Phillip Bebbington, and tables
built
by Bob Horton, enhance the beauty and surroundings to let families enjoy
picnicking
in a safe, restful environment.
In
2007, Damen Fisher under-took an Eagle Scout project to make the Picnic
Area
wheel-chair accessible by putting in the original cement sidewalk.
In
the past two years Jude Courmier did the upper cement sidewalk work and Danny
Lane
did
a retaining wall, B-B-Q pad and a table to serve meals from.
During
this time Jay Barfield did the sprinkler system in the lawn to enhance how the
grounds look.
