October 2008

 

Oh wow! September is already over. Well, October will be going even faster. Get ready youth, because this month is a busy one. I know we can do whatever task is asked of us. I have said many of times and will continue to say, we have a great bond. The good Lord has blessed us all with great company, and all of you give great effort to glorify him. Please do not forget youth group has changed to a 5PM start time now.

 

The first thing I would like for you to put onto your calendars is  Dare2Share. The dates are January 30-31, 2009.  This year's title is  “Invincible, ready for anything.”

Please let me know if you have marked this on your calendar and that you will be coming, as soon as you can. If you are not sure, or if you have any questions please call me at (614) 638-5076.

 

October 5th  -  THE MAIZE    We will be going to THE MAIZE in Plain City . It will be a great time for both Jr. and Sr. Youth groups.  The cost is $11, plus snack money. We will be leaving the church at 2PM.  We should return around 6:30PM. Please understand that we will be in a maze, and it might take a little longer. If we are running late we will call.

 

October 11th – This is a Saturday  Clean up for UMC Children’s home. Meet at the church at 8AM. Please be ready to work, and know it is for the little ones.  Again, we do not know how long it will take. We will call when we are done.

 

October 12th -  Clean up Conine Gardens .  5-7PM.  It really shouldn’t take us long. We will have a fun day after all the hard work for this weekend.

 

October 17th – Friday night- Church Comedy Night. 7-9PM. All are welcome. Child care will be provided at a charge of $5 per child.  I will need two or three youth to volunteer to babysit this night. Please let me know ASAP, if you are interested.

 

October 26th – Conine Village Trick-or-Treat from 4-6PM. Children great and small will be invited to Conine for some fun and games. Come dressed in your best. Please remember this is still a church function. Also I have asked the youth to bring in baked goodies for this night.
