Music Director: Judith Hillman, Organist: Ann Rowell.

The Shelburne United Methodist Church supports a dynamic music program drawing from many highly-skilled and dedicated musicians in our church and our community. We appreciate many musical styles and genres and offer a variety of music throughout the year. Ranging from classical choral and instrumental works to gospel, traditional anthems, jazz, and contemporary praise songs, our Sunday morning worship seeks to provide the best and most appropriate musical experiences to support and extend our Christian faith. Accompanying worship services with music that touches the spiritual lives of our congregation is always our goal.
Our newly-rebuilt pipe organ, an Estey, installed in 1914 has been enhanced with a state-of-the-art digital church organ, a Rogers 1058. Our organist/pianist, Ann Rowell, provides a superb selection of preludes, offertories and postludes, as well as hymn and anthem accompaniments every Sunday. The Senior Choir, singing at the 9:30 family worship service, is the mainstay of our music program, frequently performing with instruments. Rehearsing on Thursday evenings and Sundays before the service, this choir brings well-rehearsed and lively music from Labor Day through Father's Day. Summer months allow musicians to participate in the Worship Service with solos and small group ensembles. Our Children's Choir is an outgrowth of Sunday School singing every week and it contributes to the family service frequently.
Here is a short list of music performed in the last year:
All Things Bright and Beautiful (Rutter)
Ours the Journey (Miller)
Gloria (Mozart)
Zion's Walls (Copland, arr. Koponen)
Blessed Assurance (arr. Hayes)
Advent Credo (Martin)
Jazz Sunday (led by the Dixie 6)
