Traditions

One of the oldest traditions at Shelburne UMC is the Fourth of July Auction, Chicken Barbeque, White Elephant Sale and Book Sale. It has been held for over forty years. While it is a great fund raiser for the church, it is also a fun day for the entire community.

Each fall many folks look forward to the now famous Chicken Pie Supper, usually held during foliage week.

Our newest tradition is the Annual Women's Retreat, which is held in the fall at the Unsworth's camp on a Friday night with a sleep over to Saturday at lunchtime for anyone interested.
