Straits United Methodist Church is located on the coast of North Carolina in the county of Carteret.  We are a small church in a small community serving the Lord in a big way!   We are next door to the Outer Banks with the biggest landmark being Cape Lookout Lighthouse.  Our hope is that our church can be a beacon of light to those living around us to draw them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

                                      Do you read the NC Christian Advocate?
 
The NC Christian Advocate is the official newspaper of the North Carolina and Western North Carolina Conferences of the United Methodist Church.  It is filled with articles about what other churches are doing, ministries of the conferences, columns that address issues of concern, message from the Bishop, and even includes an adult Bible study.  It is published twice a month (except June and December).  The cost is $15.00 per year.  We may contact someone from the church for information on a subscription or you may go online to subscribe:  www.ncadvocate.org
