Healing

In his epistle to the faithful of the early church, James, a servant of God and of Jesus Christ, exhorted those who were suffering to pray, for themselves and for each other. He said, The prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up. —James 5:15

Several times a year we have healing services, a worship time that includes special prayers for those who desire healing for themselves or others. Those who come to the altar rail may have personal needs for healing of mind, body, or spirit, or they may come to pray for loved ones, coworkers, or friends. Small groups within the church may come to support a group member. Some come to pray for the healing of social needs. Whatever the reason, it is a time to truly rest in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Works!

"This is what the LORD says… 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you the great and unsearchable things you do not know." —Jeremiah 33:2-3

Prayer is a vital part of our ministry. God desires an intimate relationship with us, His children, through prayer. Prayer is simply taking time to talk and listen to God. It is developing a personal relationship with Him.

We have a team of volunteers who pray for the needs, concerns, and requests of our church family. We ask all our members for a commitment to pray.

Prayer Chain
Our prayer team can be mobilized for prayer at a moment’s notice in the event of crisis or emergency. For an urgent prayer request, the prayer coordinator will begin calling right away. We know that the Lord listens and will answer according to our needs.

Prayer Requests
Each and every member of St. Paul's is expected to pray for our church and for all the prayer requests of our members and friends. Prayer requests are printed each week in the Sunday bulletin and each month in the newsletter so that specific prayer requests can be easily found. We know that God hears our prayers and will answer us.
