We Care about You
So deeply do we care for you that we are determined to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves… 1 Thessalonians 2:8
Our Nurture Ministry seeks to reach those in need of healing and wholeness as well as to facilitate growth in people’s relationships. Nurture involves caring for God’s family in our community our own members and others in our general vicinity. We seek to care for others by supporting them in their unique, individual paths to spirituality and encouraging them to become fully involved in the life of the church.
Some specific nurture ministries for our community are:
Volunteers of America
"Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter - when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard." Isaiah 58:7-8
Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, Inc., housed in our basement, provides emergency assistance for Gloucester County residents. VOA is a national, nonprofit, spiritually based organization providing local human service programs and opportunities for individual and community involvement.
VOA took over 6,000 calls last year. They have an ongoing need for:
Help from volunteers
