Bake sale to support missions

The United Methodist Women are sponsoring the pie and cake sale at the Oyster Supper on November 21.

Please bake a lot of goodies and know that the proceeds will go to missions.

Fall Meeting Report

Four ladies went to the Gateway South Annual Fall Meeting on October 14 at Asbury UMC in Woodlynne. The ingathering was items for Robin’s Nest. The theme was “Baby Shower for Robin’s Nest.”

We had a very good supper. Each area was asked to bring specific food. We took some gift cards, and also cash donations to buy needed items for babies.

The speaker for Robin’s Nest was our own Lauren Jones. She gave a very good talk. She let us know what Robin’s Nest is and what they do to make a difference in the lives of many girls.

The Greater NJ Annual Conference UMW was on October 24. The theme was “Visitors from the Past.” Unfortunately because of other commitments, no one was able to attend.

Upcoming Events

Our regular meeting will be held in Hickman Hall on Tuesday, November 24 at 1:00 p.m. All women of the church are invited to attend.

We will be going to the Neighborhood Center the Monday before Thanksgiving to take the food baskets. Also there is a need for people to come to pack food.

The UMW Christmas Party will be held on December 13 at Brunic’s in Westville. All ladies are welcome to attend and enjoy dinner and a gift exchange. All ladies are welcome to attend. We always have a good time of fellowship. Put the date on your calendar and come join us.
