Food collection for the needy

November’s mission offering will be for the Neighborhood Center.

Fall is now upon us, and we’re looking to colder weather. Halloween, Sunday School bazaar and the oyster dinner can’t be far behind.

It's a time of year that many people need food, especially those in Camden served by the Neighborhood Center. We ask you to bring in any or all of the items listed in the box to the right by Sunday, November 22. We will also take a special offering on November 15 to fill baskets with items not received, such as hams, potatoes and turkeys.

Our October offering was for the Volunteers of America. At this time the amount received is not known.

Other Mission Projects

We are still supporting the Paulsboro Soup Kitchen. Many thanks to those who have been making soup and providing jars for the soup. The soup kitchen also provides food baskets to those in need. It is all appreciated.

The Interfaith Hospitality Network is not working at this time, due to some problems. Hopefully it will be reinstated soon so that the great work that group does will begin again. A lot of homeless families are helped by them.

We are still working on finding a missionary to support. There are so many deserving servants of the Lord out in the mission fields.

The Red Bird at Home project is suspended for the fall and winter. It will resume in the spring. Thanks to all who have participated in this past season.

We are planning to go to Camden again to serve a dinner to the homeless and needy people. It will be after the new year. If you want to have a wonderful experience, come and try it. You will be blessed.

We will also be having our Angel Wreath at Christmas to provide gifts for children of the community who would not otherwise have them.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Ruth Schultz
