Christian Celebrations

Baptism
We are always glad to welcome new Christians into the body of Christ through baptism. We believe baptism is a symbol of God's grace and forgiveness of our sins. If you are interested in baptism for yourself or for an infant or child, talk with the Pastor.

Marriage
The ceremony of Christian Marriage is one of the most beautiful celebrations in the church, and we are happy to perform weddings for couples entering into this holy bond. There are several obligations you must fulfill in order to be married at St. Paul's, including couples counseling. See the Pastor for more information.

Ministries— For Everyone!

Jesus said, Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

At St. Paul’s, you’ll find a warm, accepting atmosphere, challenging worship, and a commitment to practical faith. Each event and ministry is designed to help you become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, while forming meaningful relationships with others in an environment of joy and peace.

Whatever your needs, we have something for you at St. Paul's.

Commitment, Not Commentary

The world is awash with chattering commentators, on radio and TV 24 hours a day. They comment on politics, sports, books, entertainment, restaurants, the economy, and on and on. It’s not only by experts on TV or radio. It happens also at the ordinary level of life. We find "home-grown" commentators all over the place—sitting in their homes, standing on the street, calling in to the many “talk” radio shows that have burgeoned.

We also encounter them in churches. These may comment after a service if the organist touched a wrong note, if the preacher split an infinitive, and even if one candle burnt down more quickly than the other one!

Some of these church commentators are erudite. They know their stuff. They're well aware that Barth, Tillick and Kung are not the names of race horses but of theologians.

But when it comes to commitment, they shy away. They are more than happy to be commentators but not active practitioners in the life of Christ's church. They have plenty of opinions, a minimum of action.

BUT Church activity is not about Church programs. It's about how we live out the faith in our lives.

If you see yourself in the above descriptions, don’t lose hope. Just come on out to church and get involved. Volunteer to make a difference— in the church, in the community, in the world. The biggest difference it will make is in your own life.
