Local Missions:

Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen

One of our ongoing local missions is sponsoring a Soup Kitchen in Westminster, held at the Westminster Church of the Brethren.  Workers are needed from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as well as for clean-up afterwards.  Anette Moretz is the coordinator of this outreach project: if you can help by working or by preparing a casserole, cake or salad, please give her a call at (410) 751-7663!!

Our next date to serve is .

Garden of Hope

Each summer we plant a garden to raise vegetables to feed the hungry of Carroll County.

Global Mission:

Our global mission effort  continues to be supporting the building program of our partner church, Mabelreign UMC in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Hope Fund
In the face of some of this world's harshest realities, the people of the Baltimore-Washington Conference are responding with hope.

In the next three years, the almost 200,000 United Methodist in this region will raise $1 million to rebuild Mississippi Gulf churches damaged by Hurricane Katrina, combat the scourge of AIDs now sweeping the globe and fortify our partnership with those in dire need in Zimbabwe.

Pennies for Potatoes
We have a jar in our sanctuary to collect loose change for the Society of St. Andrew.
Nothing but Nets

We also have a jar in our sanctuary to collect loose change to purchase treated nets to protect children and adults from malaria  Each net costs $10 to purchase.

 Light Café

Since September 2001, St. Paul's Men have sponsored the Light Cafe on the third Sunday immediately following worship.  Standard fare is soup and sandwiches (varying each month)  or an other-light-lunch menu presented by the men and others in the congregation for a free-will offering to benefit a mission project at St. Paul's.  All are welcome!  Come along, and bring a friend!!

For more information about these projects, please call the church office at 410-635-2442.
