Youth Group Opportunities

Our Middle School and Senior High Youth Group, called God Squad,  is designed for young people in grades six through twelve, and is led by dedicated adult volunteers and a staff youth worker. They meet typically every other Sunday for lunch and fellowship time, followed by either a service project or "fun" activity. Our youth group program is designed to provide our young people with an opportunity to grow in every aspect of the Christian faith, and is balanced between areas of service, study, music, worship, and fellowship.

All youth of the church at this age level are encouraged to attend any of our activities, which are publicized in the newsletter and bulletin. Please contact Betsy Weems, Youth Director, in the church office for more information at (616) 949-0880, or BetsyKaye846@aol.com.

Sunday Morning Opportunities - Preparing for Adolescence and Operation Sunday School

Sunday morning classes for our youth meet each week at 10:00 am (Sept.-May). Our classes include:

Both classes meet in the lower level. These classes prepare our pre-teens and teens for every day life by studying various timely issues. What Would Jesus Do?  They are both adult and student led.

Special Youth Opportunities

Confirmation class is held every other year for 7th and 8th grade youth.

The United Methodist Church offers great summer camps for our youth. Brochures are available in the lounge listing all the various opportunities throughout the West Michigan Conference area. St. Paul's United Methodist Men pay a deposit for each child attending.

St. Paul's youth conduct a worship service the last Sunday in January, called Youth Sunday, and participate at other times of the year as ushers, greeters, communion stewards, lay readers, etc.

Our senior high youth embark each summer on a week long Mission Trip, with a different destination each year.
