Who we are

St. Paul's United Methodist Church began in 1891 as South Division Methodist Episcopal Church and was given its present name in 1907.  The present location is our third and we have been here since 1965.

We seek to preach, teach and practice a faith devoted to justice and peace, responsive to truth contained in the Old and New Testaments, and are concerned for the spiritual growth of all persons.

We are an inclusive church and our members are bound together in fellowship and service by the belief in the central confession of the New testament, "that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God." (Matthew 16:16)

Our church recognizes the right to exercise freedom of opinion.  This principle is a sustaining force in the life of the church.  We hold that there should be "in essentials, unity; in opinion, liberty; and in all things; LOVE."
