Rev. Theresa A. Robinson
The Rev. Ms. Theresa Robinson is the daughter of the late Mary Robinson and
Ambrose Robinson.
Rev. Robinson is a native Baltimorean and a product of the Baltimore City Public
Schools. Rev. Robinson received the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies
from Morgan State University and the Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley
Theological Seminary in Washington D.C.
Rev. Robinson was licensed to Preach the Gospel in September of 1979 and
Ordained in September of 1988 at the Brown's Memorial Baptist Church, under the
pastorate of Rev. Dr. Douglas L. Miles. Rev. Robinson is an ordained Deacon and
Elder in the United Methodist Church Baltimore-Washington Conference.
Rev. Robinson brings to the ministry a wealth of experience. Having served in
the following capacities: Gospel Announcer WEAA Radio; Community Coordinator
Penn North Association, Vice President Fulton Heights Association, Job
Specialist-Department of Economic & Employment Development, NAACP Executive
Board Member, Program Advocate Southern High School (Baltimore) and Legislative
Aide to Delegate Charles A. Muse (Prince George County) Instructor for the
School of Faith, The United Methodist Church.
In 1981, Rev. Robinson served as the Youth Minister at the St. James United
Methodist Church under the pastorate of Rev. George Stansbury. In July of 1982,
Rev. Robinson was appointed as Pastor of the Andover United Methodist Church. In
July of 1989, Rev. Robinson was appointed as Pastor of the Asbury United
Methodist in Jessup, Maryland. In 1990, Rev. Robinson served as the Youth
Minister at Unity United Methodist Church under the Pastorate of Rev. Dr. Norman
A. Handy, Sr. In July of 1993, Rev. Robinson was appointed Pastor of the Hope
St. Mark United Methodist Church in Edgewater, MD. Rev. Robinson was appointed
as Senior Pastor of the St. James Memorial United Methodist Church in Baltimore,
MD., in July of 1997.
In July of 2006, Rev. Robinson was appointed as Pastor of the St Matthews United
Methodist Church in Shady Side Maryland.
Rev. Robinson is the mother of two sons Aaron and John-Michael and Grandmother
of Adasyn.
Rev. Robinson's motto is:
"Never throw in the towel when you feel defeated. Never give up when your
vision becomes dim; Never bow to the obstacles of life. But forever lean and
depend on God and He will bring, carry and see you through."
