Outstanding music programs are a strong tradition at Saint Marks and are a integral part of worship services and special programs. Director of Music, Alice Anne Robertson, conducts the Chancel Choir during the traditional worship service. Accompanied by organist, Tom Minshall, the Chancel Choir performs a variety of music during services as well as performing special music and programs in celebration of Christian holidays.

In addition to the Chancel Choir, Alice Anne conducts the Alleluia Choir for children in grades two through five. This talented group performs during several worship services each year as well as taking part in special programs. For a new challenge, the Alleluia Choir recently began playing chimes and have already made their debut performance. We look forward to much more special music from this group.

A favorite of the congregation is the Cherub Choir, with members from age three to age six this group performs several times a year. Sandy McCollough, the long-time leader of the Cherub Choir, has announced her retirement. Many thanks to Sandy for her years of dedication to St. Marks' cherubs. Sandy provided a great start for what are some of St. Marks most talented musicians today. Linda Bodie and Jane Brown are currently directing the group.

Alice Anne also directs adult and youth handbell choirs that perform during worship services and special programs. Both handbell choirs also perform for other churches and at musical programs in the Charleston area.
