Family Circle Room UPCOMING EVENTS: C R O S S (Children’s Rotational Sunday School) A way of teaching the Bible Stories that is interactive, hands-on, sometimes messy and always fun! 9:30 -9:45 Garden (Downstairs Fellowship Hall) Hear and play the Bible Story (music, games, reading) 9:45 – 10:15 (Downstairs Kitchen) Come to CROSS and hop aboard Noah’s Ark! Make food for the animals in the Cross Café, build an ark in the Carpentry shop, paint a mural in the Art Studio, and dress up in your favorite animal costume for the animal parade! Justin Roberts in Concert Award winning, national touring children’s musician Justin Roberts will appear in concert at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2 in the outdoor worship area at St. Luke’s Church. The Chicago Tribune has said; “As a kid’s performer, Roberts is in a league of his own”. Children and adults alike will enjoy Justin’s inspiring, upbeat music and message as he performs songs from his latest CD, “Pop Fly”. Come early, for the pre-concert fun beginning at 9:30 a.m. http://www.justinroberts.org/ Study and Service Opportunities St. Luke's church has a number of activities available to meet your study and service desires.  Our Worship Service is at 10:30 a.m., and we have Sunday School classes at 9:30 a.m. for all ages and abilities. We have a Coffee & Fellowship time in Fellowship Hall at 9:30 a.m. The Wednesday evening Scripture Study is meeting at 6:45 p.m. weekly at Starbucks, W. 5^th & Broadview. This study is led by Pastor Laurie. St. Luke’s continues to actively grow our prayer ministry. We have expanded the prayer chain. This is a telephone and email communication network sharing the prayer concerns of the congregation and community. Our prayer group meets each Monday at Noon to pray for known praises, concerns, and requests. Penny Drive At St Luke’s we know all about the power of pennies. Rev Charlie Whitman passed out shiny pennies to the “kids of St Luke’s” for many years. We feel that it is time for St Luke’s to return the favor by collecting pennies and donating them to ‘Nothing But Nets’.
