Exciting Music at St. Luke's!
Make a
joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into God’s presence with singing! –Psalm 100:1-2
Our new
plans for expansion of the music program will offer plenty of opportunities
for you, your kids, and your friends to raise up praises to the Lord this
fall at St. Luke's! Take a
look at the ways you can GROW your talents as we GROW our music program:
- Our Children’s
Choir gives our growing group of kids a chance to learn new songs and
participate in worship services on such occasions as Christmas Eve,
Palm Sunday and Mother's Day.
If interest warrants, they can participate more often! Please leave a message with the church office (614
488-9695) if you are interested in registering your child for this
new, fun group!
- If you’d love to make music but
not with your voice, check out our Instrumental Ensembles. Our Tone Chime Choir is
a great, fun way to share good times and great music with new and old
friends. Other
instrumental ensembles we envision are the Brass Ensemble and
Woodwind Ensemble.
These small group ensembles can add a great deal of spiritual
depth to our worship services.
Other groups may develop as interest dictates.
- The Chancel Choir returns as
usual this fall, and we will see the return of Festival Choir at
the Christmas and Easter seasons, as we have in years past. The true backbone of the St.
Luke’s Music Program, we envision our adult choral groups GROWING like
never before. If you have
ever sung the soprano, alto, tenor or bass part in a church or school
choir, you probably have the experience you need to feel comfortable
in these groups. Don’t
let your shyness stop you from joining the Chancel Choir now or the
Festival Choir during the Holiday seasons. And if you hear a beautiful voice coming from the
pew behind you, encourage that person to join us! We’re GROWING voice by voice!
