welcomes all who wish to unite with us to celebrate our Christian faith

Come Join Us
We are an open, welcoming congregation, and we invite you to come and
worship with us. Whether you are new to the community, or have lived
here for many years, we look forward to having you attend worship and to
meet and greet you afterwards. Each Sunday after worship
service, there is a time of fellowship in the Fellowship Hall where we
enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy each other’s company, sharing our
Christian community and our lives together.

Meet Our New Pastor
Reverend Sharon Lovejoy
Rev. Sharon Lovejoy will begin her service
to St. James UMC on August 1, 2008. She is currently completing her
fifth year of service at the Corinna United Methodist Church, Corinna,
Maine. Rev. Lovejoy began a career in the Human Resource Department of
a bank. It was during the time that she was working toward her
bachelors degree in business management, that she felt the presence of
the Holy Spirit in her life and changed her course of study from
business to the Social Science program. Through much prayer, bible
study and spiritual guidance that Rev. Lovejoy answered the call to
ministry and matriculated at Boston University School of Theology in the
fall of 2000 and graduated in May, 2003.
Rev. Lovejoy will be
joined by her husband, Paul, and their two children, Kimberly, currently
a senior in high school, and Jared who is a freshman in high school.
