St. James Mission and Outreach

St. James has placed mission and outreach as a foundation for it’s ministry.  You will find people here who deeply care and who are striving to live into our founder’s (John Wesley) doctrines on Social Holiness.

Comunidad Cristiana de Bellevue, the Hispanic Ministry of St. James UMC, is doing amazing things in our community. Here is a short video to see the differences they are making in lives.

We strive to Feed the Hungry by preparing and serving meals at the Stephen’s Center, by hosting and directing the Bellevue Monthly Meals, by our youth serving Break the Bread meals in downtown Omaha, by collecting food, and by petitioning for just food policies via Bread for the World (St. James is a covenant church).

We strive to Care for the Sick and Imprisoned through supporting the Center for Church and Global AIDS and their orphans ministries and through Released and Restored Prison Ministry.

We strive to House the Homeless partnering with Habitat for Humanity and various Bellevue safe house agencies.

We strive to Provide for Those in Need through TeamMates of Nebraska, Bellevue Public Schools, W.I.C., Epworth Village, and the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home.
