It's Picnic Time!This Sunday, June 3rd 2012, we will gather together at 4 p.m. at Lakewood Villages Park. Meats/buns, drinks, cake, condiments, plates, cups, and flatware will be provided. In addition, we will have an obstacle course for the kids and young at heart. The cost is $3/person or $10/family (checks payable to St. James UMC, memo: picnic) If paying by cash, please pay on June 3rd. Please bring a side to share. Feel free to bring outdoor games/toys. Whether you prefer upbeat, contemporary worship services, or something more traditional is your style, St. James United Methodist Church has something for everyone.
We offer a variety of Sunday morning worship styles and times for you at two locations.
- St. James East: we offer traditional worship services at both 8:15 and 9:45 a.m. These services are in English and feature our organist/pianist, chancel choir, and the great hymns of the faith. We also offer a Hispanic worship at 11:30 a.m. This Spanish speaking service is filled with great songs, fellowship, and preaching.
- St. James West: we offer contemporary worship services at both 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. These English speaking services are led by a praise team and we sing contemporary Christian music with some traditional hymns arranged for the band. The use of projector and screen allow us to utilize a lot of multi-media in the services.
Child care is offered at all five worship services.
Join us for services at St. James East or St. James West to discover why we are "the church with the warm heart." Pastor Russ primarily preaches at St. James East and Pastor Jason at St. James West. The dates Pastor Russ will be at East are May 6, 13, and 20. Pastor Jason will be at West on those same dates. On May 27 Pastor Russ will be at West and Pastor Jason will be at East.
