We meet on the First and Third Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

The Walk to Emmaus is a 72 hour spiritual journey that begins on a Thursday evening and ends Sunday evening. At an Emmaus Walk you will spend three days living, studying, singing, worshipping, and discussing different aspects of the Christian walk with a group of your peers; there are men's walks and women's walks. The discussions center around fifteen talks that are given by laity and clergy people. These talks are designed to present the grace of God to you and to show you how that grace can come alive in the Christian community and can express itself in the world you live in. You will have an opportunity to experience the grace of God personally through the prayers and acts of service of a living Emmaus support community.

There is also a spiritual retreat for teenagers who are in the 9th grade up to freshmen in college. These are called Chrysalis Flights and they are the same as the adult walks except that the talks are geared toward young people. Adults and young adults both work on the Chrysalis Flights. Chrysalis Flights also begin on Friday morning instead of Thursday evening.

The Walks and the Flights usually take place at a retreat center. Most of the North Indiana Emmaus and Chrysalis Community Walks and Flights are held at the Good Shepherd Retreat Center in Huntington, IN. The objective of the Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis are to inspire, challenge, and equip local church members for Christian growth and action in their home, churches, and places of work. In order to attend a Walk or a Flight a person who has gone on a Chrysalis Flight or the Walk to Emmaus must sponsor you. The Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis are sponsored and supported by the Upper Room Ministries. If you are interested in taking part in the Walk to Emmaus or Chrysalis please feel free to contact us. Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. is the parent organization of a body of ministries addressing the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and children, to their families and to those who work in the prison environment. Kairos sprang from the Cursillo movement and is supported by volunteers from Cursillo and those other movements that consider Cursillo as their root. Although a separate ministry, Kairos has received the blessing and encouragement of 4th Day movements such as Cursillo, National Episcopal Cursillo, Presbyterian Cursillo, Lutheran Via de Cristo, The Upper Room's Walk To Emmaus, and independently ecumenical Tres Dias. Kairos Prison Ministry is a ministry rather than a movement.

Reunion Groups are meetings for people who have attended an Emmaus Walk. It provides an opportunity for Emmaus alumni to gather together regularly and to fellowship. Gatherings are quarterly events where Emmaus people from different reunion groups can gather together and fellowship. You can check out the North Indiana Emmaus Community Website below to find a reunion group or where the Gatherings take place.
