“Meet” Pastor Tom -

 

Pastor Tom Kinter was born in New York.  An Army brat, he travelled along with his family from base to base, living in a number of areas of the United States and spending six years in Germany. 

 

When he was in the eighth grade, Pastor Tom received his call to ministry during a revival service.   He graduated from Pemberton Township High School in New Jersey in 1968, from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky in 1972 and from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1976. 

 

Pastor Tom’s experience includes serving several rural and small town churches in Southern New Jersey plus serving as Senior Pastor of a Cooperative Ministry in the Vineland New Jersey area parish. 

 

In addition, Pastor Tom has been involved in mission work, participating in mission work teams to Red Bird Mission in Kentucky and trips to Ecuador and Columbia.

 

He has been married to his wife, Joanne, for 36 years.  They have three children and three grandchildren.  Pastor Tom has been activity in community youth sports, coaching football (four years) and soccer (13 years). 

 

In 1991, he became involved with a Living History Group – Historic Military Impressions, focusing on the Colonial time period, French and Indian War and Revolutionary War periods.   He participates in reenactments portraying civilian life, light infantry, and a regimental chaplain.  He volunteers at Valley Forge and Washington’s Crossing, teaching school children about that period of history.

 

In addition, Pastor Tom enjoys wood-working and singing in church choirs.
