UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
GENERAL INFORMATION
Purpose of United Methodist Women:
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women
whose PURPOSE is to know God and go experience freedom as whole persons through
Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand
concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the
church.
An invitation for membership to all women of St. Andrew’s:
-
Our United Methodist Women is a friendly and supportive fellowship of
women with diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds; housewives and
businesswomen, single and married, who are young, middle aged, older, or
newly retired.
-
We are a group of women dedicated to mission in the church community and
in the world. This mission is expressed through participation in circle
meetings, prayer, and pledges to mission and in service. We welcome any
commitment that may be offered
-
UMW currently has five circles which meet monthly from September through
June; each at a various day and time. Baby-sitting is available at the
morning circle meetings. One meets the 2nd Sunday of every month at 9:00am at Church. - (Click Here for Circle Information)
We
are a group of women dedicated to mission in the church community and in the
world. Each Circle has a missionary
family they support and encourage through prayers, cards, letters, and
occasionally small gifts. Each
Circle also has a circle friend – a member of the church who may find it
difficult to attend church and/or church functions.
This friend is also supported/encouraged through prayer, cards, letters,
small gifts and personal visits. Please feel free to call the church
office at 429-4469 for additional information.
