PANTRY DO IT YOURSELF MISSION PROJECTS
Also we have some mission projects, if you don't have time available to work the scheduled events, Missions has designed some you can do at home with all the family helping out. Contact Lytle Hoover to set one up. See him at Church or contact via e-mail at hooversnj@ comcast.net to let him know your availability. Here are a few samples of things available:

  • Repackage bulk Food items into Ziploc bags - individual packets of Cocoa Mix, Crackers, jellies, condiments, etc.
  • Remove Campbell Soup & Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee Barcode Labels from donated items at the Cherry Hill Food Pantry.
  • Package up Grocery bags as Paper-in-Plastic units grouped together as 4 bags in a group.
  • Assist Lytle Hoover Picking Up Food from Food Bank in Pennsauken during December
  • TRIP PLANS
St. Andrew's and Keenagers are sponsoring a trip to Sight & Sound to listen to and view the premier production of Joseph. The date is April 13, 2010. The cost is $119 which includes transportation and lunch at Shady Maple. A sign up sheet is in the narthex. If more information is needed, call Oskar Gmunder, 489-0919 or Jim Miller, 795-0437

    REQUEST FROM LITTLE HANDS/LITTLE FEET:
We are in need of the following items
    Boy's underwear sizes 4 - 12; coats sizes 3T, 4T and 7/8; pants size 7/8
    Girl's underwear sizes 4 - 10 and 14/16; and socks sizes 4-8
If you can provide these specific items, please bring them to the church office and we will be very grateful. Thank you so much.

    SAVE THE SUPERINTENDENTS!
Here is a unique way to use your talents to serve your church and help children and adults. Due to the Safe Sanctuaries Policy, we need someone to “float” through the hall ways and peek in on the children as they are learning in their class rooms. This helps assure the safety of the children, while not requiring that we have two teachers in each room. You would have a back-ground check done, and then you would monitor the hallways. (The more volunteers, the fewer turns each will have to take.) This would enable our very busy Sunday School Superintendents to worship a couple of times a month. Can you do this? Call Meredith to volunteer, 429-4469.

    IMAGE AND ATTITUDE
Will stop collecting clothing December 1. Watch the Network and the bulletin for information about the next collection date. Thank you for your donations to this UMW mission

The job entails picking children up at 3 schools and taking them to Fairview United Methodist Church for their after-school program and then dropping the children off at the end of the program.

    EXERCISE CLASSES
As the weather gets colder, people usually hunker down and get a lot less exercise. The St. Andrew's Exercise Classes have resumed and will continue until the week of 12/14. Each week we offer 3 classes for Cardio/Strength, 1 class for Zumba, and 2 classes for Tai Chi. There are morning classes and evening classes, so there should be something that works with your schedule. Please contact Barbara Hansen for more information. 856-795-3428 or Barbara.Hansen3428 @yahoo.com

    GREETERS NEEDED
Here is another way to become familiar with the people of St. Andrew's - be a greeter. Greeters can be singles, families, youths, two or more friends, or parents and children, or any combination of the above. You greet people as they come into church on your scheduled Sunday from 10am until 10:30am. If you would like to help out in this most important function, please sign up on the kiosk or call Meredith at 429-4469.

    PRINTER INK/TONER
There is a box in the narthex to collect your used toner cartridges. St. Andrew's will get a donation for these when we recycle them. We also need volunteers to obtain a Staples Reward card to turn them in. We have the Staples registration forms for you to fill out and taken into store.

PLEASE REMEMBER ST. ANDREW'S IN YOUR WILL

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE TREATS IN THE LOUNGE?
Every Sunday, in the lounge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and munchkins are available for a "free will offering." This is a change from our original procedure because we need to receive more money since the cost of food has increased. Come and join us, even if you don't want to eat. Meet other St. Andrew's family and get to know them as you chat and enjoy refreshments

SUPPER CLUB - What Is It, Anyway? Supper Club is a loose-knit group whose sole purpose is to enjoy each other's company over good food. Each group decides when and where they will meet. We usually take turns hosting meals and everyone else brings a dish. You don't have to host at home. We've eaten at restaurants, at the church, or in the park. You decide! We recommend that all groups meet every month even if just for a quick cup of coffee. The idea is to get to know new people and to enjoy Christian fellowship. This is not a couples club. Singles are always welcome and do participate regularly. We'd love you to be part of our group. Don't forget, we have a "Dine-Out Only" group, too!
See the sign up sheet in the Narthex where you have a large choice of Supper Clubs to choose..
Groups are forming now. Just talk to Bernadette Exley or sign up on the sheet in the narthex. Can't make it all the time? Be a Sub! "Hey, ya gotta eat! Why not eat with friends?"
