Education

Vision Statement: For United Methodists, the Christian life is a process of being transformed by God's grace into the likeness of God's son, Jesus Christ. Christian education provides essential support for this lifelong process of transformation. Educational ministries assist people in developing their relationship with God and in living faithfully in the world. The educational ministries should help children, youth, and adults grow in:

Knowledge of Scripture and tradition;
Skills in practicing the means of grace; and
Abilities to live as accountable disciples.

Current In-Depth Studies:

Disciple I Teacher: Rev. Bob Campbell Meets: TBD, 10:00 a.m.	"Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study" is the basic course in the whole Disciple series. It is a 34-week overview of the whole Bible.
Disciple I Teacher: Dick Sullivan Meets: Thurs, 6:30 p.m.
Disciple III Teacher: Rev. Todd Frail Meets: Tues, 6:30 - 9:00 pm	32 week session with weekly in-depth study of the Old Testament Prophets and the Letters of Paul.
The Gospel by John Teacher: Gary Jay Meets: Sun, 10:10 - 10:50 am	Systematic chapter-by-chapter review of the 4th gospel.
The Gospel by Mark Teacher: Rev. Erick Moon Meets: Sun, 5 - 6 pm	Who is Jesus? Who is Jesus for you?

The following in-depth studies may be offered at various times. Contact the church office if you are interested and it is not currently offered or scheduled:

Companions in Christ (28 weeks, 2 hours/week)
Christian Believer (32 weeks, 2.5 hours/week)
Disciple I (34 weeks, 2.5 hours/week) An overview of the whole Bible

You must take Disciple I prior to other Disciple Courses:

Disciple II (32 weeks, 2.5 hours/week) Into the Word, Into the World
Disciple III (32 weeks, 2.5 hours/week) Prophets & Paul
Disciple IV (32 weeks, 2.5 hours/week) Old Testament, Gospels, & Revelation
Jesus and the Gospels (32 weeks, 2.5 hours/week)
