Camp Quixote Camp Quixote is moving to First United Methodist Church in October for 90 days. There is a need for people to serve in groups of two at the entrance of the Camp for three hour shifts; food donations are also welcome; some groups supply a meal. For an opportunity to respond to the needs of the homeless, contact First United Methodist Church of Olympia at 943-2661. Roger Tanquist has volunteered at Camp Quixote at United Churches and at St. John’s Episcopal Church. For more information call him at 455-0152. Devotional Book Available A very helpful devotional book is available for those serving with our Armed Forces. It was widely used during World War II and has been reprinted recently in cooperation with an Eagle Scout project and the United Methodist Men. Chaplains have said that next to the Bible, it has been one of the most helpful publications available. For your free copy, please contact the church office. |
