United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women is a community
of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom
of whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive
fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation
in the global ministries of the church.
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:30
AM to 11:30 AM except during July, August and December. We also have
several meetings on Saturdays. Last year these included a spring
tea, a picnic in the summer and a special Christmas activity in December.
Meetings will usually be at the church which is handicapped accessible.
We also have a plant sale in May and an Annual Bazaar in November.
Ongoing activities are a Reading Program, a Quilting Group, and
participation in a Prayer Circle.
