Centennial Celebration

St. Paul's is preparing for our own 100th Anniversary on August 12, 2007. We will celebrate our rich history with worship, a special dinner, and tours through the church. Bishop Robert E. Hayes Jr. of the Oklahoma Conference will preach. We welcome all who wish to celebrate and worship in our beautiful sanctuary.

Life at St. Paul's

Summer at St. Paul's includes sending children and youth to camp, fund-raising to equip the Youth to go on a Mission Trip to Mexico, and the adults to take a Fall Mission Trip to New Orleans. Vacation Bible School is an all-church affair, held each evening during the week of June 25-29. In July we enjoy gospel singing, an ice cream social, and a church day at our cabin on Ft. Gibson Lake.

Throughout the year, St. Paul's is a community that welcomes and accepts the diversity of people who come to worship and to our hot meal program on Fridays, called Manna Meals. We grow in our hospitality and in our understanding of being followers of Christ as we practice serving one another, and all who are in need. We have Sunday school classes for adults, youth and children on Sunday mornings (9:45). We also have a group of single and married young adults who plan activities twice a month on Sunday evenings. We are developing a resource ministry for Alcohol and Chemical Dependency.

We are very connected to the Cherry Street neighborhood. We host a street Barbeque each September with live music, games for children and barbeque done right. We cheer the bikers and runners who participate in races past the church, and we participate in the Christmas parade. Sometimes we travel into the Brookside area and enjoy the BooHaHa parade as well. The Circus brought elephants past the church one Sunday just as worship let out, what a treat!

This is a small church where getting acquainted is fairly easy, and nearly everyone takes part in the service and ministry of the church. We eat together every 3rd Sunday, and enjoy laughter, singing and food. We seek to grow in love. Come and join the fellowship!
