Know-------------Grow---------------Go
With Jesus Christ

Dear Friends,

There is something about Autumn that both gives me energy and drains me. The drain comes in getting up earlier to get kids (or yourself) to school on time. Going to meetings (church, Scouts, sports, etc.) that seem to be kicking into full gear just as we move toward the holidays. The requests for our time jump up to peak demand levels almost instantly.

How can we do battle with the time demands? First, prioritize the demands on your time. Choose carefully what it is that you will do with your time. Secondly, maintain your connection to the Greatest Source of Energy, God. Do make your time with God your highest priority and you will find yourself with renewed energy. God is the ultimate power source and is more easily accessible than electricity. Plan some time during the day, every day, to be with God. You can spend your time praying, or singing, reading the Bible or journaling, but do something each day with God. When we nurture our connection with God we can find strength that we didn’t know we had. We can also find the endurance to make it through some really long days.

As we move forward through Fall and into the holidays, let us give ourselves the gift of maintaining the upkeep on our power lines. Let’s each of us set aside time everyday to re-energize by the power of the holy Spirit. “(We) can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens (us).”

Renew your strength! Attend Bible Study! Attend Cluster! Join HLM! (the Book Study Group). Keep plugged in!

Blessings,

Pastor Melissa
