SPUMC Volunteer Opportunities

There are as many ways to serve the Lord as there are people in the church.

We have members who visit shut-ins with the weekly sermon tape.

We have members who sing in the choir.

We have members who teach Sunday School and lead Childrens' Choirs.

We have members who water plants in the summer.

We have members who provide flowers for the altar.

We have members who participate in the mini-dramas on Sunday morning.

We have members who provide money for programming and missions.

We have members who play instruments.

We have members who accompany soloists.

We have members who pray for others.

We have members who provide financial advice, counsel, and decisions.

We have members who cook a meal or a dish for families in time of need.

We have members who supervise Vacation Bible School.

We have members who give the preacher sermon ideas, (intentionally or inadvertantly.)

We have members who serve on committees and boards.

We have members who choose set up for punch or potlucks, and clean up after.

We have members who show up.
