We'd Like to Invite You...

In today's fast-paced world, it can be hard to stay in touch with old friends or find opportunities to connect with new ones, especially across long distances. Sometimes all we need to feel connected and alive again is to have someone drop us a line letting us know they care. At Sparta UMC, we feel it's important to reach across the distances that separate us, to make an extra effort to provide opportunities to connect with members living at a distance, but also to connect with those who may be new to our community. It's hard to be the new to a place, to have no support network or friends to make introductions, and especially hard to walk into a church where you don't know a soul and try to make that connection. It becomes easier as we get to know people and get familiar with the ways a church serves.

We've thought about it and decided that knowing a little bit more beforehand about who we are and the ways we serve the Lord could make it a lot easier to take that first step through the door. It gives could give new folks something to ask about and let us share our enthusiasm for what we're doing together here. Old friends would get to see how their church and friends are growing, and new ones would have a better sense of how they might be able to share in this fellowship and serve. So we've made this page a place for sharing information on our worship and service in the community and the world. We hope you enjoy it!
