Welcome to the South Montrose Community Church! (United Methodist) |
|
|
Our Mission: "A church for the whole community to worship, grow and serve together in Christ." Ephesians 3:17-18 "I pray that you…may have power…to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." Thoughts: Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. Had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. |

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve,
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health, that I might do greater things,
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy,
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
I asked fr power, that I might have the praise of others,
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life,
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I asked for--,
but everything I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all persons, most richly blessed.
