Gene and Gordon's Team:  Let There Be Light!
Team Members:  Gene, Gordon, Betsy, Marie and Anne
Today the men continue to battle with the plumbing in the bathroom.  After 2 trips to Lowe's they were finally able to connect the water.  No toilet yet!  Potty break at Lowe's!  All door knobs were scraped, molding painted and ready to be installed, ceiling fans cleaned, toilet cleaned out on the front lawn, paint cleaned off floor in case Curt comes to visit, more windows washed and more painting done.  We had a picnic around the cooler in the front yard at lunch time.  Weather is beautiful!  Yes, god is so good!  and we've got a running toilet now!

A little girl across the street wants to know, "Where Miss Debra go?"  We talked to Miss Debra on the phone and she will come to the site tomorrow after work!!!

Today we remembered most of our supplies - made a trip to Lowe's for a few things.

Accomplishments- finished painting a bedroom and some doors and trim. Cleaned and stained some woodwork. Agonized a while on how to cut the ceiling molding- but a call to Roy provided answers. Managed to get most of molding in one room and discovered that caulk is the best invention ever!

Expected to see the two girls who live in the house after school, but they didn't come- maybe tomorrow.

Enjoyed the beautiful weather and lunch on the front porch.

Roy's Team
Team Members:  Roy, Colleen, Katie, Jeff and Bill
Tuesday @ Oscars! Oscar (our home owner) is a limo driver for the casinos and hasn't been home long when we arrive- He greets us but was not too bushy tailed today. The weather was warm and sunny!

We worked on completing a 20 x 20 room with laminate flooring- Jeff and Bill did quite a lot of that- Kate and Colleen got a lesson on moldings/baseboards and using the chop saw. Kate loves making the little angles.

Bill found a new fast food area in Moss Point- so he was a happy camper!

Roy worked on a linoleum floor in the bathroom and set in a new vanity, and reset the toilet- He may have helped a little with the baseboard angles :-)

We all worked hard - came home tired - to a wonderful home cooked meal!

The roof is close to being re-shingled!  The team tore off the other shingles on the other 1/2 of the roof.  Roof vent holes were cut as well.  The house we're working on is approx. 2,840 sq. ft, so the roof is quite a large area.  The teams are working hard and efficiently.  We came home dirtier than yesterday - as the a.m. wind blew shingle dust and loose tar paper into our faces.  Our house is located in the country - so it is very peaceful (50 miles north of camp) working there, and we are enjoying the sunshine as well, while being outside.  None of the team members have decided they would choose to "roof" for a living!  We have 3 young teens on our crew and we are very proud of how well they are working.  We talked to Mr. Moody's son - Grady - yesterday, who is visiting his parents.  They are devout Christians and very friendly.

Another beautiful day, 75 °+. We did more sheet rocking and mudding. More sheet rock was delivered and also 2 bath tubs. We made a bathroom trip to Wal-Mart, and got some necessities like a coffee thermos so we can take coffee to the job site. We also bought a radio so we can have music while we work.

The mother of the owner stopped by today. She (Priscilla) was picking up her son's mail. She came in to see our progress and was quite surprised. It was nice to meet her.
