The UMM is offering several services to our church members, and also to anyone outside the church that desires our assistance.  These are:

  1. Handyman Project - We offer assistance to those that are elderly and need assistance with small chores they are not able to do.  This could mean something as simple as the changing of a light bulb or help with other more involved projects.  We will not do renovations or anything of that nature.  We will leave that to Barry Miller.  Just call Tonya, our church secretary, and we will gladly respond.

  2. Annual Program For Youth - We want to recognize the youth of this church, and we are planning a special program for them in the fall.  Barry Miller is responsible for this program.

  3. Habitat For Humanity - We will assist others in the community when the program begins.  John Cain is responsible to make the arrangements for First United Methodist Church.

  4. Library Repair - Scott Brown is responsible for coordination of this project.  He is also working with the youth to make the project a success.

  5. Estate Planning - Wendell Bailiff is responsible for this project, and you will be hearing more about this in the near future.

  6. Counseling to Persons in and outside of our Church - Jermy Judkins is responsible for this project.  Those of us that have close families may never have the need to have someone sit and listen or offer a prayer on our behalf.  This project is designed to help those that do need someone to confide in, those that need a prayer and those that need the hand of God in their lives.  This project will be coordinated through Brother Don Bailey, and is a ministry that we have discussed for some time, but are only now getting it off the ground.

  7. Promise Keepers - August 24 & 25, $69.00 per person.  Send fee to T.M. Hooper or Barry Miller.
