Smiley United Methodist Church has a rich history of reaching out to others, both in our local community, and to the broader regional, national, and international missions.      Currently, there are four very vital ministry areas in which we have been involved locally. These are the Family Pathfinders program, sponsored by the Texas Department of Human Services, a local "Kids of the Kingdom" program which serves to provided Christian education and activities for children from Kindergarten through 5th Grade on Wednesdays after school, and participation in the Jesus Video Project of Texas and the United Methodist Walk to Emmaus movement .  One of the goals of our church is to constantly be in prayer and discussion to discern what new directions God is leading us in our ministry. Thus, we hope to see this section of our web site grow and change as we understand God's call to make a difference in the lives of people thoguhtout the world, and especially here in Smiley.
