To further the evangelistic efforts of Smiley UMC, we chose to participate
in the Jesus Video Project of Texas. This small church opened its hearts (and wallets) to donate over $1,100
to ensure that everyone, not just in Smiley, but in the nearby communities as well, would receive a Jesus Video.
We were joined in this effort by FUMC Nixon, Dewville UMC, Union Valley Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of
Nixon, Union Valley Baptist Church, Camp Valley Church, and Encouraging Word Fellowship of Leesville.
Together, this group of area churches were able to provide Jesus Videos to
everyone in Pandora, Union Valley, Nixon, Leesville, Belmont, Cost, Bebe, Wrightsboro, and Smiley. We are all now
following up on the distribution of the videos that was just completed, and encouraging those who received them
to come closer to the Lord. |
