Emile E. Tosso is the
campus minister at the Wesley Foundation United Methodist Campus
Ministry at Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a native of New
Orleans and was raised in Metairie, Louisiana. Emile graduated from East
Jefferson High School, holds a Bachelor of Science from Southeastern
Louisiana University, and a Masters Degree in the field of Education
from the University of Virginia. |
Emile served twenty years in
the United States Navy, both as an enlisted person and a commissioned
officer. He served on several nuclear powered submarines, submarine staff
assignments, and in the Pentagon as both an arms control policy analyst and
nuclear warfare strategist. Emile has traveled extensively around the
country and the world.
Emile was a manager at Ingall's Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi. In
1997, while employed at the shipyard, he surrendered to a call to ministry.
He was assigned two churches, Loranger United Methodist Church and Cooper's
Chapel United Methodist Church. In February 2006, Emile requested assignment
to the Wesley Foundation and was appointed to be the campus minister the
following June. In addition to his ministry as campus minister, he also is
the pastor of Springfield First United Methodist Church in Springfield,
Louisiana.
Emile is married and he and his wife Bobbie have four children and two
grandchildren. Emile lives in the parsonage on the campus of Springfield
First United Methodist Church.
Emile enjoys golf, fishing, reading, and just talking with people in his
spare time. He collects model lighthouses and electric trains.
Emile's ministry passion is for reaching out to junior high and high school
age kids, and college students of all ages. Emile is excited about serving
at his Alma Mater.

Margaret
Adelmann is a member of
First United Methodist Church in Hammond. She has been a
Wesley Foundation board member since 2005 and currently
serves as the board's secretary. She is a Grants Development
Specialist and instructor at Southeastern Louisiana
University. She also serves as the Faculty Advisor and
Academic Development Advisor for Alpha Omicron Pi sorority
and was named the Division of Student Affairs 2006 Faculty
Advisor of the Year. Margaret serves on several committees
at the Hammond Regional Arts Center and is a graduate of the
University of Cincinnati and Southeastern. She says that the
Wesley is important to her because "it provides an excellent
avenue for me to serve God. I benefit spiritually and so do
the students and individuals that are a part of this growing
organization." Margaret is married to fellow Wesley board
member, Chad Soileau.

Barney Babin
is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Denham
Springs where he serves on the Board of Trustees, is the
computer network tech, and soundboard operator. He serves as
the State Secretary of the United Methodist Men and also
acts as the website administrator for about 20
church-related websites. Barney has been a Wesley Foundation
board member since 2003 where he serves as the webmaster. He
is a graduate of Louisiana State University (1974) and is
retired from BellSouth. Barney says the Wesley is important
to him because "we have the opportunity to help students
bridge from family worship experiences to college worship
experiences. It is these experiences that solidify one's
concepts and beliefs of God."

Joe Bosch
is a member of Lee's Landing First United
Methodist Church where he serves on the board of trustees
and sings in the choir. He is also a member of the United
Methodist Men, serves on the Lee's Landing Finance Committee
and is a licensed lay speaker. Joe received both his
Bachelor of Arts (1966) and Master of Education (1970)
degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University. He has been
a member of the Wesley Foundation board since 2003. He says
that the Wesley is important to him because " it provides
the opportunity to reach out to young people during a very
vulnerable time in their lives."

Paul and Margurite
Carter
are members of the First United
Methodist Church in Amite and have been a part of the Wesley
Foundation board since 2006.
Margurite teaches adult Sunday school and was the
Mission Coordinator in 2006. She currently works at God's
Storehouse in Amite and says the Wesley is important to her
because "it reaches our youth with a wholesome and caring
atmosphere."
Paul is a graduate of Lynchburg College and is a
retired United Methodist minister. He also serves on the
advisory board of the Council on Aging. He says the Wesley
is important to him because "it reaches our youth, and this
is of paramount importance."

Carol
Earnest is a
member of First United Methodist Church in Hammond. She has
been involved with the Hammond Chamber of Commerce for many
years and has been a member of the Wesley Foundation board
since 2006. She says the Wesley is important to her because
"being involved in the Wesley gives me pride as we reach out
to the students and community. Allowing Southeastern students
a place where they can come worship, share their feelings, and
just have a place to be where there are people who care makes
it all worthwhile." |

Don Gentry is a member of First
United Methodist Church in Ponchatoula where he facilitates
bible study. He is a retired UMC minister and graduated from
Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
Don previously served on the Wesley Foundation board at the
University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has been a member
of the Southeastern Wesley Foundation board since 2007, and
he says the Wesley is important to him
because "it's an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus
Christ with students at a vulnerable time in their lives."
Don is married to fellow Wesley board member, Archie Moore.

Doug Holmes
is a member of St. Timothy's-on-the-Northshore United
Methodist Church in Mandeville where he has served on the
Evangelism Committee and sung in the choir for 30 years. He
is a past chairman of the Advisory Board and is a lifetime
member of the United Methodist Men. Doug received a Bachelor
of Arts (1958) from DePauw University in Indiana and a
Master of Arts (1960) from the University of Michigan. He is
currently working on an MA in history at Southeastern
Louisiana University and is retired from Shell Oil. Doug has
been a member of the Wesley Foundation board since 2005. He
says the Wesley is important to him because "Emile went into
ministry from St. Timothy's, and I want to help him. I love
Southeastern and want to help the University."

Dale Kuebler
is a member of Cooper's Chapel
United Methodist Church in Loranger where he serves on the
finance committee. He is also a member of the United
Methodist Men and serves as a facilitator for bible study
groups. Dale is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana
University (1971) and is the Vice President of Manufacturing
at Elmer Candy Corporation in Ponchatoula, LA. Dale has been
a member of the Wesley Foundation board since 2006, and he
says the Wesley is important to him because "it's an
opportunity to witness to students during the important,
formative years of their education and to be a part of a
growing ministry." Dale is married to fellow Wesley board
member, Shelia Kuebler.

Shelia Tarver Kuebler
is a member of Cooper's Chapel
United Methodist Church in Loranger where she coordinates
the floral decorations for all of the holiday church
services. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and
has been a member of the Wesley Foundation board since 2007.
She says the Wesley is important to her because "I believe
being involved here is what God wants me to do." Shelia is
married to fellow Wesley board member, Dale Kuebler, and
together they have three children and seven grandchildren.

Fred Lavigne
is a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church
where he serves as the Chair of the Administrative Council.
He is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University (1971)
and is also employed at Southeastern as an IT Tech
Specialist. Fred has been a member of the Wesley Foundation
board since 1966 when he was a student. He says the Wesley
is important to him because "it has been a part of my life
since college. It has been a place of Christian fellowship
and worship for most of my life."

William H. "Bill"
Milburn
is a member of First United Methodist Church in Hammond and
serves as the treasurer of Our Daily Bread. He is a graduate
of Louisiana State University. Bill has been a member of the
Wesley Foundation board since 2002, and he currently serves
as the board's treasurer. He says the Wesley is important to
him because "my son attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, and
the campus ministry there became important to him. That got
me interested here."

Archie Moore
is a member of First United Methodist Church
in Ponchatoula where she participates in bible study. She
has been a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry and
Physics at Southeastern Louisiana University for many years
and is an alumna of the University of Houston, Southeastern
and Louisiana State University. She has been a member of the
Wesley Foundation board since 2007. She says the Wesley is
important to her because "it's an opportunity to continue my
work with students but in a religious setting." Archie is
married to fellow board member, Don Gentry.

Robert R. "Bob"
Richardson is a
member of St.Timothy's-on-the-Northshore United Methodist
Church where his wife, Carol, is an Associate Pastor. He
teaches disciple bible studies and the sixth grade Sunday
school and confirmation class and is also involved in the
Cursillo reunion group and Kairos. He is a graduate of
Southeastern Louisiana College (1964) and is retired from
Exxon Co. USA as a Drilling Superintendent. During his
tenure with Exxon, he worked all over the Gulf of Mexico,
Gulf of Alaska, Alaskan North Slope, West Virginia, Texas,
California and the inland waters of Louisiana. He also
served in the US Marine Corps. Bob has been a Wesley
Foundation board member since 2001, and he currently serves
as the board's president. He says of the Wesley's
importance, "I realized what I missed by not being active in
the Wesley while a student at SLC."

Chad
Soileau is a
member of First United Methodist Church in Hammond. He is the
Human Resources Representative at Florida Marine Transporters,
Inc. in Mandeville. Chad is a graduate of Louisiana Tech
University (1996) and is currently working on his MBA at
Southeastern Louisiana University. He is also a volunteer at
the Hammond Regional Arts Center and the St. Tammany Humane
Society. Chad has been a Wesley Foundation board member since
2006. He says the Wesley is important to him because "campus
ministry can assist young adults in establishing and further
developing a relationship with God that can positively affect
their lives as well as the lives of students they encounter at
Southeastern. Through Christian leadership from the Wesley
Foundation, students have the opportunity to learn Christian
principles and develop into strong witnesses for Jesus." Chad
is married to fellow Wesley board member, Margaret Adelmann. |
