OUR MISSION IN SONG
On the bank of the Wauna* In the shade of the tall trees** Where the smoke is on the water*** God does speak on gentle breeze. If you listen you will hear Him If you look you’ll see His face All creation tells the story Of His love and of His grace.
Chorus: So come and join us, make this aim your own To know Christ and to make Him known
In the year of eighteen ninety God called us to ministry To proclaim the Lord Almighty And in Christ the Liberty. We thank God for all the Faithful Who before us were Good News By our words and by our witness That same life we gladly choose.
Chorus:
* Native American name for the Columbia River ** Wahkiakum means “Tall Timbers” *** Skamokawa means “smoke on the water” – also the name of an early Wahkiakum Tribal Chief
