Phil & Koni Morrill Dear Friends, September 2004 Welcome to the web presence of the United Methodist Church in beautiful Skamokawa, Washington! Our website is just getting started, but I invite you to explore what we have posted and discover what’s happening in this gathering of the church family. Should you be camping out in the Vista Park camp ground next door, visiting friends or family in the area, or just passing through Skamokawa any weekend, do join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM for Sunday School and worship at 11:00 AM as we joyously celebrate God’s love. Our church’s mission is really quite simple – “To Know Christ and to Make Him Known” We are not a people who have "arrived". We don't yet have it "all together". But we have been found by the One who forgave, accepted, and loved us as we were, and Who has begun a process of healing and restoration in our lives and in our relationships. As we have been and are being blessed, so we now seek to bless. Our aim is to get to know Him better and make Him known through who we are, what we do, and what we say. I invite you to partner with us in this great Journey of Faith! Whether it’s in prayer, Sunday School, morning worship, or service to others, our commitment is to share the love of Jesus Christ with our world. The people called "Methodist" have been reaching out to make disciples of Jesus Christ in Skamokawa since the early 1890's. We are blessed to build on a solid heritage of Faith that has been passed on to us. As a newcomer to the area, it is my honor and privilege to be in partnership for ministry with this gathering of God’s people on the banks of the Columbia River. We thank God for all He has done and we trust Him for all that is yet to come. Come join us, make this aim your own, to know Christ and to make Him known. In His love,
