The
Simpsonville Kentucky United Methodist Church is a very
special body of believers. Our congregation represents every
manner of person, all yoked together in the bonds of Christ's
grace to serve the world around them and to bring to those
who have not hear the glorious good news of Christ's unconditional
and sacrificial love. Throughout fellowship the presence
of the Holy Sprit can be felt and known. Those who enter
into this place are surely standing on holy ground.
Growing
in Love - Living in Christ
Simpsonville
United Methodist Church has a rich history of serving God
and the community that dates back to 1825. In the early
years, circuit riders would arrive by horseback to lead
prayer meetings in pioneer homes where the faithful would
gather. The first building was constructed on the present
site in 1840. The current sanctuary, built in 1876, offers
a warm, peaceful atmosphere for both worship and fellowship.
Our present membership
is rich in its diversity. We encompass those from all walks
of life. Young and old, generations of Shelby County, Kentucky
families and residents new to the area are part of our circle.
There are those that are new to the Christian experience
and those that have lived a life of faith their entire lives.
