WOMEN’S SOCIETY United
Methodist Women On October 8, 2007, Simpson lost a faithful and loving member in Mrs. Lily Myers. Mrs. Myers, preceded in death by her equally faithful husband Franklin Myers, provided loving and warm spiritual leadership for Simpson’s women. Mrs. Jeroline Williams, Ms. Lily’s daughter, is the Chairperson of the Council on Ministries and a Trustee and looks forward to carrying on the work among Simpson women begun by her mother.
The Simpson women and friends celebrated its annual May Pole Feast on Saturday, May 17 with guest speaker Missionary Debora Brunson of the New Galilee Church of God in Christ Jesus, Inc., and guest musician Ms. Lucille Boston, Mt. Olivet UMC, Baltimore, Maryland. Our theme for the day was “LORD, teach us to pray!” All of the women wore pastel colors to match the ribbon on the May pole. What a celebration. Our May Feast queens were Keiyona Gregory and Alicia Smith.
On Sunday, December 14, 2008, the Simpson women extends an invitation to one and all for our annual celebration of Women’s Day. If you would like us to honor a special woman on that day, please send a Letter of Nomination to Simpso18@hotmail.com, or by USPS: 16901 Hardy Road P. O. Box 522
