IN MEMORIAM
 

On Monday, October 8, 2007, Mrs. Lillie V. Meyers, wife of the late Franklin Meyers, died at the Frederick Memorial Hospital after a short illness.  Ms. Lillie was the chairwoman of the Council of Ministries and a Trustee of the church. 
She was also chairwoman of the United Methodist Women.

In every aspect of her Christian service, Ms. Lillie served the church faithfully until the day of her death. 
She was laid to rest in Simpson Memorial Gardens next to her husband Franklin.  She will be missed by church family and friends of Simpson.  She leaves to mourn one daughter, Jeroline Anita Williams and one son in law William L Williams of Mt. Airy with whom she resided.  In addition she leaves six grandchildren:  Trixie Gregory, Christina Thompson and husband William, Dennis Williams, David Williams, Karen Williams, all of Frederick and Demitra McCready of Baltimore.  11 Great-grandchildren Derrick, Kyeonia, Shameika, Chris, Demetric, Madaline, Whitney Cameron, LyTia’, Welton (Mickey), Myeisha, and one great-great grandchild Kirrah
