Life Within The Congregation
Simpson’s congregants live and work as a single unit of faith as faithful
witnesses of Jesus Christ in the world. Towards this end we engage in a
yearly Revival in addition to celebrating historical days such as Church
Anniversary, Family & Friends Day, Homecoming, and May Feast. Our campaigns
to sustain our place of worship and outreach ministry initiatives include
‘Door Knob Rally’ day, ‘Walk a Mile’ in my shoes, Women’s Day, and
Fellowship among Men, Near and Far. We are careful to recall the voices of
our ancestors who as scholars, preachers, missionaries, teachers, and
entrepreneurs contributed to the building of the United States of America
and the rich spiritual heritage that sustains black Americans living in the
black American Diaspora. The work of these men and women are testimonies
that God was always with and among black Americans even in their lowest
valleys. These stories teach us our history, and keep our faith alive for
those who will follow in our footsteps.
