VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IS A VITAL CONCERN IN SIERRA LEONE

A few years ago Operation Classroom agreed to assist the Sierra Leone UMC with two major vocational schools. (That was before the change of the academic structure by the government.) The Sierra Leone Conference is committed to develop two major vocational schools. One will be located at Bo at BTVI and the other will be located at Albert Academy. They are looking at a wide variety of courses.

At Bo, the program will center on those youth that choose to drop out of school and need to learn a trade. The program will also relate to the Bo Centenary and the Baoma students.

At Albert Academy, the program will center on providing students at Albert Academy as well as youth who have dropped out of school the opportunity to choose a vocation.
