Christmas time is a very busy time for all of us. Just this past week I was standing in line and a woman asked if she could go before me because she had less items. I let her, and she moved on – and then I paid for my 5 items and went on to the next thing. I have noticed in life when we get busy we start thinking of things rather than focusing in on Christ. It seems to me at times Christmas has become a time of complaining. We complain about lines, Christmas songs, prices and expectations of the receivers of the wonderful gifts we bought.

I was reminded of Ephesians 4:29 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building other up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen”. Wow! Imagine if this was our motto. Imagine how relationships and even our perspective on things would change. This Christmas season try to embrace Christ by embracing His Word!
