Mission Statement
Shoregate Church is a family of faith that takes seriously the call of Christ to "Love one
Another as I have loved you." This love is made practical through the caring and sharing
that takes place in all aspects of life at Shoregate. The primary mission of this church is to
equip its people to extend Christ's compassion and healing to the surrounding community
through a renewed sense of ministry in each person's life
Vision Statement
Shoregate United Methodist Church has recognized that to be a vital part of the body of Christ in the 21st century it is necessary to expand our concern to those in the community who are unchurched or have become inactive in any church. Our response will be based on a growing understanding of each person in the congregation as a "bringer" and "includer." With this focus and by offering opportunities for spiritual growth through
the newcomer will feel welcome and the existing faithful will be nurtured.
