Pastor
Heather was born and raised a United Methodist in Westford, MA.
She earned a B.A. in Religion from Colgate University, Hamilton NY
where involvement in the ecumenical student congregation of University
Church led her to both her call to ordained ministry and meeting her
husband, Skip. After
graduation, Pastor Heather served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in
Hartford, CT. During her year
of service, she worked at Foodshare, the greater Hartford food bank and
Mercy Housing and Shelter Co., a community kitchen and day care program.
Before and during attending Yale Divinity School (YDS), Pastor
Heather was the Youth Director at Memorial UMC, Avon, CT.
At YDS, she was active in the Methodist Society and Student Council
and completed internships at Bridgeport Hospital and East Pearl St. UMC,
New Haven. From 2003-2006,
Pastor Heather was appointed to Nichols UMC, Trumbull CT as the associate
pastor and ministered to the youth of the congregation.
Currently, she is appointed as the pastor of First UMC Shelton, CT. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and entertaining,
traveling, arts & crafts and learning to sail with Skip. |
