Food Bank

PURPOSE

The North Bingham County Community Foodbank and Thrift Shop is a charitable organization. Sponsored by the Community United Methodist Church of Shelley. The purpose of the organization is to assist all those in need.

GUIDELINES OF FOODBANK

The foodbank is an all volunteer group organized to provide food to those persons meeting the State of Idaho guidelines of poverty. It provides a weekly basket of food to those individuals and families. Additional services will be assessed and provided to relieve poverty in North Bingham County.

GUIDELINE OF THRIFT SHOP

The thrift shop operates on donations from interested individuals. This shop is not a retail outlet but offers items priced to assist in covering the operating expense of the foodbank and thrift shop. All prices are a suggested donation. Individual items may be provided to indigent persons on a case by case basis free of charge.

Tuesdays 12:00 to 2:00pm

AGENCIES PROVIDING ASSISTANCE

We are assisted in this goal by the following: Boy Scouts of America, Postal Workers, United Way, United Methodist Church, Community Hospital Foundation, Idaho Community Foundation, Bechel Of Idaho, other area churches and individual donations.
